INTERSITE MEETING 2016
The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, Smart Prosecution Initiative, in partnership with the Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance hosted the Smart Prosecution Intersite Meeting in Houston, Texas on May 12th - 13th, 2016. The meeting brought together team members, including the research partner, from 8 Smart Prosecution sites: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, Baltimore City, St. Louis and San Diego.
During the meeting, attendees exchanged information and ideas in peer to peer networking sessions and developed plans for technical assistance. Subject matter experts presented on a variety of topics including: How Prosecutors Should Respond to Crime Victims with Trauma – Presented by Joy McCormack and JaShawn Hill; Analyzing Your Crime Problem: Effective Problem Solving – Presented by Julie Wartell; Strategies to Reduce Crime: Use of Crime Gun Intelligence – Presented by Chuck Reno; Effective Implementation of Evidence Based Strategies and Interventions – Presented by Roger Przybylski; and Research 201: Beyond the Basics – Presented by Craig Uchida. The meeting was a huge success and we’d like to thank all the participants for
